Coverage

Insurance and extended health benefits

Sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) are covered by many extended health plans in British Columbia. Check your benefits under “Registered Clinical Counsellor,” “RCC,” or “psychotherapy.” I provide official receipts for all sessions for direct reimbursement. I do not direct bill.

Coverage amounts and annual limits vary by plan. I encourage you to call your provider before your first session to confirm your specific benefits

FAQ

Common questions about fees and insurance

Is there a sliding scale?

A small number of reduced-fee spots are available for clients experiencing financial hardship. Please raise this during your free consultation — I’m happy to discuss what’s possible given current availability.

What payment methods do you accept?

E-transfer is the preferred method for payment. A receipt is issued on the day of session for insurance submission.

What is the cancellation policy?

24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule without a late cancellation fee. Exceptions are made for genuine emergencies — please reach out as early as possible if something comes up.

Does insurance cover online therapy sessions?

Yes — most extended health plans that cover in-person RCC sessions cover online sessions equally. The session type does not typically affect coverage, but it is worth confirming with your provider if you’re unsure.
